100 Year Anniversary Kickoff Party

On Tuesday, July 8, Leeds Center for the Arts will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the theater at 37 North Main Street in Winchester with an open house, free and open to the public.
The event will be marked with an open house that includes a proclamation by Mayor JoEllen Reed, a special message from the office of Governor Andy Beshear, remarks from Secretary of the Kentucky Tourism, Arts, and Heritage Cabinet, and performances from the upcoming Leeds 100th anniversary “Season at the Movies.” Included: songs and scenes from Beetlejuice JR., It’s a Wonderful Life, 9 to 5: the Musical, and Shrek: the Musical. The open house begins at 5:30pm with light refreshments and tours of the theater, with the program of greetings and performances beginning at 6pm.
